COLUMBUS, leave out. (WJTV) — The Mississippi school for ladies is making a nursing scholarship in honor of the two nuns who had been killed in Durant.
The scholarship will honor the lives of Sister Margaret Held and Sister Paula Merrill. They had been both found dead in their domestic on August 25 in Durant.
both girls worked for the Lexington medical clinic as nurses.
The W observed each ladies graduated from the faculty's nursing application. Sister Held earned a grasp's diploma in 1994 and served for decades as a preceptor for The W's family unit nurse practitioner students. Sister Merrill bought her bachelor of science in nursing diploma from The W in 1988 and her master's from The school of Alabama at Huntsville in 1996.
"So many of our college students were touched with the aid of the selfless giving of Sister Margaret and Sister Paula to these in want," observed Dr. Sheila Adams, dean of the school of Nursing and Speech-Language Pathology. "They may be greatly ignored with the aid of every person, principally these they ministered to on a daily foundation. here's a tragic loss, and we hope this scholarship will honor the spirit of their lives."
